How to Suck at Songwriting

song-writing

An endearing song is like a true friend – there for you, no matter what… with no hidden agenda.

It has a noble purpose… created to genuinely make you feel good… maybe, to bring back fond memories… or to strengthen current relationships in your life.

When you write a song and misuse it to garner support for a meaningless, despicable cause or for selfish personal gain… you can expect one thing.

The song will fail.

Fail to resonate. Fail to touch. Fail to find a spot in people’s hearts.

And you’re back to where you started.

With a contrived song only you can appreciate.
